About Me

My name is Andreas «Ands» Maechler. I live in Basel, Switzerland together with my beautiful wife Rahel. I finished studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences FHNW in 2008.

Besides working with computers, one of my greater hobbies is photography - many photographs are available on flickr.
Surprise Me! I love getting surprised and doing crazy and adventurous things out of the blue! I also like to read, unfortunately there's not too much time for that during studies. Some of my favorite books include Tuesdays with Morrie, Life Of Pi, Prey and other books by Michael Crighton, A Purpose-Driven Life, The Chronicles Of Narnia and many more.

I greatly enjoyed doing a DTS with YWAM beginning 2004 in Los Angeles, California. If you're ever able to do it, just do it!
